- Clinical Knowledge: Understanding of clinical practices, diagnostic procedures, and treatment protocols.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to exercise clinical judgment, think critically, and apply guidelines and protocols effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with clinical staff to review patient schedules, ensuring timely and appropriate support.
- Communication: Manage inbound and outbound calls related to inquiries, appointments, and data verification.
- Insurance Verification: Confirm healthcare insurance coverage and patient eligibility.
- Appointment Management: Oversee appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- EMR Maintenance: Ensure the Electronic Medical Record system is consistently updated.
- Prior Authorization: Oversee the entire prior authorization process, ensuring timely approvals.
- Billing & Correspondence: Handle medical billing and related correspondence.
- Prescription Management: Order and manage patient prescriptions.
- Chart Completion: Ensure patient charts are comprehensive and up-to-date.
- Insurance Follow-ups: Engage with insurance providers for any clarifications or follow-ups.
- HIPAA Compliance: Strictly adhere to and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
